Using a high capacity relay the turbo timer prevents bearing seizure in turbochargers and is ideal for use in vehicles with high performance turbo engines.
Seized turbochargers often occur when users fail to let the engine cool after heavy use. Turning off the ignition while the turbo is still hot leaves hot oil inside, causing rapid seizure and costly repairs. Using a timer to leave the ignition idling for 5 to 10 minutes can help prevent this by gradually cooling down the oil in the turbocharger and prevent bearing seizure.
With 5 time ranges selectable between 1 to 30 minutes, the turbo timer is intuitive and simple to use.
Compatible with existing HKS Turbo Timer Harness. Not for use with vehicles with push-button ignition, running vehicles should not be left unattended.
