The BorgWarner SX-R Supercores are a symbiosis of the attractively priced AirWerks turbochargers and the high technology of the EFR turbos. The most important key feature of the EFR series is the forged and milled compressor wheel in a special design with the perfectly matched high-flow intake ducts. This has been adopted in the AirWerks turbochargers in order to achieve perfect response behavior and optimum boost pressure build-up as with the EFR turbochargers. However, the basics of the AirWerks series have been retained, so that the turbocharger still has a cast turbine ousing and a robust (overhaulable) bearing system. The pre-installation for the speed sensor has also been retained in order to achieve the optimum efficiency of the supercharger.
AirWerks turbochargers from BorgWarner Turbo Systems are dedicated aftermarket turbos for the performance sector. Proven line-produced parts (mostly from Schwitzer Turbo) are being combined to deliver high end tuning and motorsports performance while maintaining an ideal price/performance ratio.
